JANE YIKAAZBA POPOVICH: Jane Popovich is a descendant of generations ofNavajo Silversmiths. Her maiden name was Yikaazba, and she developed the skillof working silver with the help of her brother and mother while she was growingup on the Navajo reservation in Shiprock, New Mexico. Now a renowned silversmith artist in her ownright, Jane usually works primarily in silver and turquoise, though notexclusively, and she signs her pieces with a conjoined JP.
