Thislisting is for the original EzGibs™ which fits many mini lathe models (seebelow). EzGibs™ features top-adjustable saddle retainer gibs that are springloaded with ball bearings and built-in saddle carriage locks.
Stopfighting your mini lathe’s saddle gib adjustment! No more creeping up betweentoo tight (gibs that yield unnecessary friction causing flex, which leads toexcessive backlash) or too loose (gibs that leave too much slop and play,translating to backlash the other way). EzGibs™ provides proper gib contact for CNC and manual lathes!
Ouroriginal design of EzGibs™ turns out to be very useful &practical asit (see its features below) has beenadopted and replicated in similarmini lathe products.
Key Features:
-Replaces OEM stock saddleretainer gibs which are prone to cracking.
-Unique,compact gib assembly is designed to be adjustable from the top of the saddle,making adjustment very simple and easy.
-Ball-bearingloaded with spring adaptive/adjustable pressure to ensure proper gib contactfor CNC and manual lathes!
-Steelball bearings and steel bearing housing (see the 2nd photo) to providesolid and smooth gib contacts; uniquely designed so that only ball bearings arein touch with the lathe bed (no scrubbing!) for smoother and freer movingcontact than the stock iron or brass gibs.
-Built-insaddle carriage locks (see 9th and 10th photos) tosecurely hold the carriage position for making smooth and clean face cuts; designedso you can easily lock the carriage. Note: Do not attempt to use your hands orthumbs to handle the parts while the lathe is in motion!
-Mainbody made of 6061 aluminum alloy commonly used in the construction of aircraftcomponents (such as wings and fuselages), marine parts, and other high-pressureapplications.
-Providebetter protection to the lathe beds as 6061 aluminum alloy islessabrasive than the OEM stock iron retainer gibs.
-Easybolt-on installation takes about 15 minutes to complete.
